You are on a personal mission to find your purpose and meaning in life. Where do you go? Where will you find your purpose? Do you have to travel and explore or will it come to you?
Do you need to travel a lifetime to find it? Is your purpose hidden along the river’s edge or buried deep within the jungle? Or maybe it’s sitting on top of an isolated mountain top. Could it be that you are already living your purpose but are completely unaware?
No matter who you are, no matter what your status or career is in life, you need to have purpose.
Without purpose, life is empty and void of meaning.
Sometimes we seek our entire lives for a sense of purpose but never find it. Sometimes our purpose is much simpler than we think it should be. Purpose comes in a variety of ways. There is no such thing as a small purpose in life. Being a millionaire and helping those in need could be purposeful, but so is helping people in your own neighborhood or being a guide to someone in need.
I work with many people searching for purpose and meaning in their lives. I too have struggled with finding my own way, but discovered that when we focus on the struggle, purpose can be lost as we focus on the wrong thing.
Whatever your strengths and talents are, that is where you will likely find purpose and meaning. The journey there doesn’t have to be hard, difficult or impossible. The journey to finding purpose can be gentle and full of surprises. Navigating the waters of the journey to purpose can shift and change with the currents and may lead you into a different direction that you originally set out for. That’s ok. Just enjoy the journey and find purpose and meaning in all that you do, in everywhere that you land, and in everyone that steps onto your path.
You are on your path to purpose.
You do not have to search for it, or travel to it.
Follow your heart’s desire and intuition and you will be guided.
Beautiful article! I totally agree with what you said.
